BIO - Andy Griffiths

Andy up until recent years has been a consistent player and performer in the local Adelaide scene and interstate for many years. Having played in his first band in '75 Black Chrome '75 - '77 credited as Adelaide's first punk band. Having formed and played in a variety of Adelaide rock bands including Squawk, Matriark, Sidewinder and in '83 - '84 joining the legendary Dagoes, playing on the Single Hey Man, receiving airplay on SAFM and reaching number 5 on the Independent charts and playing support act to band like The Saints, Hoodoo Gurus and many other Aussie acts. Before moving to Sydney in '87 he played various freelance gigs and recordings including an album for the Belligerent Slaves / Electric Farmers in '84.

He played in Sydney from '87 - 92 in Out Of The Blue, releasing a self titled EP in 1990 and then later changing their name to Rogue Torpedo, playing the circuit in major venues and local pubs. Returning to Adelaide in '92 he joined another well know act Bluestone '92- '94 and again more freelance work throughout the 90's Late 1999- 2001 he joined an all original band called New England Stone, performing and recording many songs, but nothing released.

Played in various bands throughout the 2000's before taking a break.in 2010 until returning in 2016 with a whole batch of new songs written and recorded ( demos ) with the view to recording, releasing an album and starting a new band. Suffering a major back injury during 2017 things were put on hold,while waiting for surgery,which finally happened in lat 2018.Working through rehab and covid 19,it's now 2022 its finally happening Looking Out For Lilly are about to release their debut self titled album with 9 songs.
